Meet the team at Hob Hey Dental & Implant Clinic

John graduated from Manchester University in 1997 and joined Hob Hey Dental Centre in 1998.

Having been at the practice for such a long time he has got to know patients very well. John feels it is vital that patients are educated correctly how to care for their teeth and provides up to date evidence based preventative advice. He enjoys diagnosing and treating dental pain and cosmetic dentistry and is confident in providing crowns, bridges, veneers and tooth whitening. John can also straighten teeth using the INVISALIGN clear aligner orthodontic system.

John is a keen learner and frequently attends courses for continuing professional development. He works Monday to Friday and provides a late evening session on a Wednesday evening.

John is married to Vicky and has three boys, Jake, Leo and Albie, and has a dog called Benji. If he has any spare time, he enjoys travelling in his camper van, walking the dog and skiing; he has also recently completed the Jersey Marathon in under 4 hours. In his spare time he plays bass guitar, acoustic guitar, drums and piano, and he also used to sing in a band. Recently, John has started to study Astronomy.

Dr Kocis graduated from University of PJ Safarik in Slovakia in 1998 and remained as both dentist and lecturer of stomatology at the Dental Clinic in their Department of Prosthodontics, where he stayed until 2005, before moving to the UK to continue practising. As Juraj gained more expertise, he developed a special interest in implantology.

In 2007, he expanded his knowledge by attending national and international implantology courses such as Q-Implant and Soft Tissue Management courses. Between then and now, Juraj has placed hundreds of implants and is currently undergoing the Advanced 2-year Implant course at Campbell Academy to push his abilities even further, with a focus on complex cases and digital-guided surgery.

On a personal level, Juraj is married with 3 children and enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, cycling, skiing and a bit of cooking.

Dr Ryan Major qualified from Newcastle University in 2018 and was recognised with an array of University and National awards for exceptional performance in clinical and academic dentistry. Early in his career, Ryan gained extensive training in minor oral surgery, facial trauma and dealing with nervous patients.

Ryan aims to provide a very high standard of patient care and dental treatment with a gentle, caring and forward-thinking approach.

Ryan is currently in the process of attaining post-graduate certificates in advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry, in addition further courses in composite bonding, digital smile design and Invisalign.

Ryan was born in Warrington and has recently moved back to his hometown. Growing up Ryan represented Warrington Wolves Rugby League Service area for many years. He enjoys keeping fit through boxing and is learning to play the guitar, but most of all values spending time with his family and friends.
